Annamaria Lossi studied in Pisa, Tübingen and Freiburg i.B., received a PhD in Philosophy (Dissertation on Nietzsche and Plato) and a PhD in German Literature (Dissertation on autobiography and philosophical self-narration). She held positions as a research fellow in Germany: in Freiburg, Berlin and Stuttgart. From 2017 she has been lecturing Introduction to Philosophical Thought and Aesthetics for the FCH; Introduction to Aesthetics for the IPH, Pisa University. Her main interests are Aesthetics, Hermeneutics, German Literature and its connection to philosophy. She is a translator and author of books and several philosophical articles on Nietzsche, Plato, Kant, Gadamer and she is part of the research group for the critical edition of Friedrich Nietzsche’s works.
